Now, if there are like 20 targets, then yeah, Carve away. I would rather intentionally cap my focus and have the ability to press a button when needed then to press the button, and not have the focus to spend for it. But I end up getting too flabbergasted and everything just falls apart. And regarding spending focus, I have tried to implement Carve into assisting for AoE with getting more bombs out. It helps spend my focus which I have a hard time keeping from capping and it adds another ranged ability. I prefer Chakrams to the differing bombs. And with how cheap serpent sting is, it is quite easy to sustain. Getting those stacks up doesn’t take long. However, every cast of serpent sting, in addition to the dot ticks, will add a stack. One serpent sting cast brings latent poison to a stack of 5, so two casts are needed to bring it to 10.
BEST ADDONS FOR WOW MULTIDOTTING FULL
Regarding the setup time for latent poison to reach a full stack of 10, the way around that is to make serpent sting your main “filler”. But, once the fight goes on, I can then swap targets and assist in a low health target blow up very effectively. In my experience, I simply do better when I can damage from ranged and focus on staying alive from mechanics.įor pvp, my “initial” burst isn’t great. Mongoose may very well be better damage, on a target dummy. Not too mention that since I bit Serpent Sting so often that Latent Poison stacks are never at risk of falling off. The latent poison stacks will remain on the target for quite a while, and the tip of the spear procs can be refreshed with another kill command if needed. I am still winding up to a big hit, but I get to control when that happens. In my mind, I can get a similar experience by using Tip of the Spear and Latent Poison. I understand that this playstyle is fun for some, but it cause me headaches. My biggest annoyance with Mongoose Bite is the time constraints it imposes on you. So, even from the get go, I had the intention of not using it and have been working on getting traits to assist in a more ranged-friendly rotation. However, I also simply just don’t like Mongoose Bite. I find my damage goes Significantly downward in both single target and in AoE when using Mongoose Bite. I love the build as I literally am completely ranged except for one raptor strike every 12 seconds or so, and for white damage, which can be substituted for auto shot damage with a ranged weapon if you feel like making weapon swap macros. Strictly single target, you will do less damage than mongoose bite builds. I prefer chakrams as I love the animation, but wildfire infusion is probably better in most situations. Use your “combo points” with raptor strike.ītw, if you manage to triple stack latent poison on traits, you will hit massive crits. Build "combo points with kill command (tip of the spear to 3) and serpent sting (latent poison up to 10). Raptor strike at 2-3 tip of the spear procs and with the target with say 7or more stacks of poison.įill focus with kill command.
For 2-4ish targets, tip of the spear works in conjunction with latent poison and hydra’s bite very well.
